San Carlo Negrentino
But let's start in Aquila. We first go to Dangio with the large building of the no longer operating Cima Norma chocolate factory. Then to the hamlet of Grumo and on to Lottigna. Those who have time can visit the very beautiful and interesting ethnographic museum here. Through the forest it goes down to Acquarossa and then to Dongio where we once again cross the Brenno. In Ludiano, we can take a refreshment break in the rustic Grotto Milani. Continuing on good paths, we pass the ruins of Serravalle before arriving in Biasca. Here we reach the end of the Blenio Valley. Worth seeing is the Romanesque church Pietro e Paolo.
The "Via Francisca" is also called the "Emperor's Road". It leads from Konstanz over the Lukmanier to Pavia, where it meets the Via Francigena.
The stages in this documentation are suggestions that each pilgrim can adapt to their wishes. However, the technical data always assumes that these stages are completed in one day each.
