Rest bench near Ebnetschachen
On this stage, we ascend to the highest point, which is just over 1000 m above sea level, before descending into the Rhine valley. After the Ruppen Pass, there are magnificent views of the Rhine valley ahead, which we will follow upstream over the next few days.
Anmerkungen
The "Via Francisca" is also called the "Emperor's Road." It runs from Konstanz over the Lukmanier to Pavia, where it meets the Via Francigena.
