    To the next section Allaman - Lausanne
    Similar to the previous day, this stage up to Allaman is also a delightful hike: along Lake Geneva with views of the Savoy Alps and the lake, mixed with vineyards and small wine-growing villages. The only downside is that today we will follow the railroad track for some time – a moment to reflect on the different speeds of travel. Numerous castles along our route show that this area has known prosperity for a long time.

    The "Jerusalem Way / JERUSALEM WAY" is a network of pilgrimage routes that leads pilgrims from Central Europe to Jerusalem. Jerusalem, along with Rome and Santiago de Compostela, is one of the three most important Christian pilgrimage destinations of the Middle Ages. This route starts at Cape Finisterra on the western coast of Europe and leads either through Italy or along the Danube through the Balkans to Turkey, and from there follows a common route to Jerusalem.
