Stans-Flueli-Ranft

Today's stage will take us over a distance of 16.5 km with a walking time of about 5.0 hours from Stans to Flüeli-Ranft. We face a difficult stage today. We start the hike at the Stanser village square at the Winkelried monument and leave Stans heading southwest. We follow the marked paths along the foot of the Stanserhorn. The path today leads us over asphalt and natural trails. After 6.0 km we reach St. Jakob. The path continues via Wisserlen. Shortly before St. Niklausen, after about 13.0 km and at an altitude of 803 m, we reach the highest point of the day’s stage. After St. Niklausen, we reach the St. Niklaus Chapel and then the Müsli Chapel. Then we descend to the large Melchaa, which we cross, and shortly afterwards reach the lower Ranft Chapel. A steep ascent now leads us to Flüeli-Ranft.

Today we pass the following sights: Winkelried monument, Knirikapelle “Maria zum Schnee”, Bethanienheim, St. Niklaus Chapel, Müsli Chapel, lower Ranft Chapel.
