Mountain guesthouse Dürrboden

This short stage takes us from the valley of the Dischmabach into the “Davos landscape”, specifically to the train station of Davos Dorf. During our slightly descending hike over meadows, sometimes left and sometimes right of the young and crystal-clear Dischma, we can reflect on the life path of this little stream, which happily begins its journey up here, then continues as "Landwasser" from Davos, later as Albula and Hinterrhein, finally flowing on as the “Rhine” after joining with the Vorderrhein.

Davos developed from a Walser farming settlement and is today an Alpine metropolis largely dependent on tourism. Here you will find, alongside historical witnesses, also the most modern facilities illustrating the evolution of humanity over the last centuries in striking contrast.

Anmerkungen

The pilgrimage route Via Son Giachen leads from South Tyrol through the Val Müstair in the canton of Graubünden towards Central Switzerland or Valais. The partly alpine pilgrimage route is only continuously passable in warm seasons.
