After just under 2 hours, we reach Montreux, which is worth a walk and also serves as a stage stop except in July, when beds become scarce due to the international "Montreux Jazz Festival."

Shortly after Montreux, we pass the well-preserved Château de Chillon from the 11th century, one of the most beautiful Swiss fortifications from the Middle Ages. It served as the residence of the Counts of Savoy until the Bernese conquered this area. The route is very flat until shortly before Aigle. Only there do we then climb through the wine village of Yvorne and the vineyards to enjoy the view over the Rhône Valley to Aigle and the Alps from above. The stage ends in the center of Aigle at the marketplace,
