Perrefitte
At the beginning, we ascend along the stream «La Chalière», so we are walking against the flow direction. Then we leave this valley and climb steeply on the Moron flank to the plateau «Plein Fahyn», then continue with a moderate slope along the Moron until we reach a crossing, i.e. a watershed, between the folds at Les Bandes. Logically, a small stream now flows on our right side in our direction of travel, and we lose altitude again. Between Souboz and Sornetan, the gorge «Gorges du Pichoux» opens to our right through the Jura folds, through which our small stream flows northwards.

But water also comes between the folds from the opposite direction, i.e. from the west, namely «La Sorne», which we have already encountered at the Delémont station before it flows there into the Birs. This Sorne originates at Bellelay, our stage destination today. For the rest of the stage, we steadily ascend again. Bellelay claims to have invented the famous cheese brand «Tête de Moine», probably in the former monastery, which is now a clinic. So, we cannot stay overnight there, but the Hotel de l´Ours offers rooms, and in the magnificent equestrian farm «Domaine de Bellelay» we can even gain experience with inexpensive pilgrim dormitories, which will be useful to us later in France and Spain.
The Three-Lakes Route connects the «Regio Basiliensis» with the Romandie, where it joins the «Romandie Route» at Payerne, which continues via Geneva to France.
The stages in this documentation are suggestions that each pilgrim can adapt to their wishes. However, the technical data always assumes that these stages are completed in one day.
