Urnaesch-St.Peterzell-Wattwil

Today's stage will take us over a distance of 20.9 km with a walking time of around 6.5 hours from Urnäsch via St. Peterzell to Wattwil. A difficult day stage awaits us. We start the hike at Kronenplatz in Urnäsch and leave the village in a northwest direction. We follow the signposted paths and climb up to the Alp Füliweid. After about 2.5 km, we reach the highest point of the day stage at 1,126 m. This is followed by a descent of about 4.0 km to Schönengrund. Today's path leads us over asphalt and natural trails. We follow the Tüfenbach and cross the main road. After about 11.5 km, we reach St. Peterzell. On Hembergstrasse we cross the Necker river and climb again. After about 20.0 km, we reach the Scherrer viewpoint. The path then leads further down via Schwantleregg and we arrive in Wattwil.
