    Today's stage will take us over a distance of 14.6 km with a walking time of around 4.0 hours from Stammheim to Frauenfeld. It promises to be an easy day stage. We start the hike in Oberstammheim and leave the village via Hornerweg heading south. We follow the signposted paths and reach the Nussbaumersee, the first of four lakes that we will shortly pass, after about 2.0 km. The route continues around Buch and shortly before the Charterhouse Ittingen, after about 9.0 km at an altitude of 496 m, we reach the highest point of the day's stage. We cross the Thur and from now on follow the course of the Murg river. After the Murg floodplain park, we cross the Murg and arrive at Frauenfeld station. The path today leads us over asphalt and natural trails.

    Today we pass the following sights: Helfenberg Ruins, Charterhouse Ittingen, Frauenfeld Castle

    There is the possibility to stay overnight at Charterhouse Ittingen.

    Anmerkungen

    The section Stammheim - Frauenfeld is part of the Thurgau Monastery Route, which will lead us from Blumberg to Tobel. We are on the Swiss Pilgrimage Routes.
