Soyhières: Church

While the first section up to Soyhières is mainly characterized by nature impressions and agriculture, after Soyhières we will not follow the valley road but cross the gorge to Delémont at height, reaching below the striking ruin of Vorbourg the Chapelle du Vorbourg, a gem you should not just walk past. This chapel lies on such an exposed rock nose that it allows an impressive view into the valley but can hardly be viewed from any distance. Shortly after this chapel, we come to another viewpoint offering a look over the Delémont valley basin, and there we also cross an exclusive, scenic residential area before reaching the station through the old town of Delémont.

Gnadenbild 16Jh in Vorbourg

Der Höhenweg steigt über den Weiler Ring zu einem kleinen Übergang bei Pt. 650 Dort treffen wir auf den Weitwanderweg Via Jura. Unter uns sehen wir die Häuser von Liesberg.
Wir folgen dem Weg westwärts zum Gehöft Albech, in dessen Nähe eine kleine Marienkapelle steht. Durch ein Tälchen geht es weiter westwärts und schon wieder leicht abwärts:

Bei der Kantonsgrenze BL/JU überschreiten wir auch gleich erstmals die Sprachgrenze zwischen Deutsch und Welsch (Schweizer Ausdruck für Französisch). Bald danach kommen wir zum Weiler La Réselle de Soyhières. An einem Fischteich vorbei streben wir durch ein ruhiges idyllisches Tal zum Dorf Soyhières (dt. Saugern).

Anmerkungen

The Three Lakes Route connects the "Regio Basiliensis" with the Romandie, where it merges into the "Route of Romandie" near Payerne, which continues via Geneva to France.
