Today's stage will lead us over a distance of 22.2 km with a walking time of about 6.0 hours from Steg to Rapperswil-Jona. We can expect a medium-length stage. We start the hike shortly after Steg and follow the signposted paths and a side stream of the Töss into Fischenthal. After about 3.0 km we arrive in Fischenthal. After crossing the Talbach and the railway line, we reach Gibswil after another 2.0 km. The path today leads us over asphalt and natural trails. After about 7.0 km, we reach the hamlet of Büel at about 800 m altitude, the highest point of the day's stage. Heading south, we walk along the hillsides down to Blattenbach. The path continues via Töbeli around Rüti and we arrive in Rapperswil-Jona.

Today we pass the following sights: Parish Church of St. Gallus, Parish Church of Fischenthal, Parish Church of St. Johannes, Rapperswil Wildlife Park.

There is the possibility to stay overnight at the pilgrim hostel in Rapperswil-Jona.

Anmerkungen

The section Steg - Rapperswil-Jona is part of the Schwabenweg, which will lead us from Konstanz to Einsiedeln. We are on the Swiss Jakobsweg.
