Sign Camino de Santiago
From Bellinzona station, the hiking path leads to the outdoor pool by the Ticino river and then always along the Sentiero Riviera following the river course against the flow direction. In Arbedo, the path crosses the Moesa river on a beautiful stone bridge. It continues - first past Claro with a view of the Benedictine nuns' monastery located on the height - along the river and mostly through the forest until the former Cresciano-Osogna station, where the Ticino is crossed. After passing under the highway (picnic area), the path continues in the forest on the embankment trail past Lodrino (view of a large quarry) and past Iragna, until shortly before Biasca the Ticino is crossed once again and the route follows a road into the center of Biasca.
Anmerkungen
The route leads along the Sentiero Riviera, an embankment path almost constantly lined with forest, following the river Ticino to Biasca.
Tipp des Autors
After Arbedo, there are no more refreshment options directly on the route, as the path only skirts the other villages. Bring sufficient drinks.
