Digg - one last look back at Trin
Shortly after leaving Trin-Digg we cross the Val Pintrun, one of the mentioned side valleys leading steeply down to the Vorderrhein. Just under an hour later we arrive at Conn, where besides a restaurant there is also a viewing platform jutting out over the Rhine Gorge that allows us to test if we are truly free from dizziness. The steep erosion furrows are the dominant impressions on this stage.
After a rather steep initial descent towards Sagogn, we come to the wild Val da Mulin, which we cross before ascending towards Laax. Above Laax it then becomes flatter and we can wander comfortably to Falera, all this with changing, magnificent views over the Vorderrhein valley.
The pilgrimage route Via Son Giachen leads from South Tyrol through the Val Müstair in the canton of Graubünden towards Central Switzerland or Valais. The partly alpine pilgrimage route is only fully accessible during the warm seasons.
If you have concerns about being free from dizziness after the platform at Conn during the following descent, you can ascend from Conn to the main road and then hike at this altitude to Laax.
Wet conditions can also be a reason for the high-altitude hike.
